The Ansar Allah group, also known as the Houthis, said on Saturday 15 of its fighters were released in a prisoner swap with the forces of the internationally recognised government in Yemen's northeastern province of Al-Jawf.
The swap was conducted through local tribal mediation, said Abdulqadir Al-Murtada, the head of the group's committee for prisoner affairs.
He did not reveal the number of government prisoners who were released.
Government forces and Iran-allied Houthis have been fighting in the province for years.
