SANA'A, May 3-Hundreds of locals in Mukala city of Hadramout Saturday organized a protest against the Al-Qaeda presence in the city.
They chanted slogans, calling for the departure of Al-Qaeda operatives from the city. This comes after a local imam delivered a speech, condemning Al-AQaeda practices.
Al-Qaeda militants have been controlling Mukala city since early last month.
The imam said Al-Qaeda members have robbed public banks and destabilized Mukala.
Last week, residents of Ghail Bawazeer in Hadramout organized a similar protest, demanding Al-Qaeda men leave their area.
