SANA'A, Aug.9-Houthi militants detained Sunday three leading women members of the Islah Party in Sana'a, after staging a protest in front of a police station, calling for the release of detained persons.

The sources told the Yemen Media Center these three women belong to the Islah Party, and they organized a protest, calling for the release of leading members of the Islah Party including Abdulrazaq Al-Ashwal, the minister of technical education in Khalid Bahah government.

The sources named the three women as Samira Al-Shaor, Fatima Harba and Dhikra Al-Sundaidar.

Since their takeover of the capital Sana'a last year, the Houthis have arrested numerous members of the Islah Party, hiding them in unknown places.

Several leading members of the party fled the country, fearing the Houthi mistreatment.
The Houthis accuse the Islah Party of having links with Al-Qaeda in Yemen.
